My Story

Hi! Thanks for stopping by. Grab a warm café or a bite to eat and let’s chat.

It’s so incredible that now a days we can have conversations with more than just other people— we can now talk to products and pieces of technology. Sometimes I catch myself talking to the Alexa echo in my house and get a little weirded out. As a trilingual, human-centered designer, I aim to bridge gaps between the human and the product. Just how languages allow people to have a conversation, the human and the product should be speaking to one another— it should never be one-sided.

Every design decision I make has a purpose. When it comes to approaching a design challenge, I simply try to focus on where things went wrong. Sometimes it’s almost impossible to know what exactly is the problem with a system or a product. This is where I believe in failing fast, constantly iterating until you inch closer to the problem, and even going a little mad.

Through my experience in a UX Design bootcamp, I was taught to map out your step 1, 2, and 3 of re-designing a product or creating a website. I mean, this makes sense. Humans typically understand concepts better when they are presented in a successive fashion. The more I practice my skills the more I realize that this is where we fall into a trap as designers. You can’t represent a non-linear system, like the steps a user might take to accomplish a goal, in a linear way. We have to understand people first and foremost. And this is why I love what I do.
